Configuration Guide
Windows 95, Windows 98
& Windows ME
On your desktop, double click on the My Computer icon and then
double
click on Dial-Up Networking. If this is the first time
you have used Dial-Up Networking, a wizard will automatically appear to
help you configure a new connection. Otherwise, double click on Make New
Connection.
In the name field, type All Speed.
From the Select a modem drop down list select your modem. Click
Next.
Fill in the area code and phone number of the All Speed point
of presence to which you want to connect. (In Grand Junction, CO the local
number is 245-1288). Click Next. *
To verify that the Access Number you will be calling is local please contact
your telephone service provider.
Click on Finish.
Now we will configure your All Speed Dial-Up Networking profile.
Right click on the All Speed icon in the Dial-Up Networking window
and select Properties.
Uncheck Use country code and area code.
Click Configure. Make sure that the maximum speed is set to
no more than 57600 then click OK.
Click on the Server Types button. In the Server Type window,
set
the options as shown below.
Click on the TCP/IP Settings button. In the TCP/IP Settings window,
set
the options as shown below. Click OK.
Click OK. Click OK.
Connecting
When you attempt to access the Internet you should see a dialup screen.
Enter Your All speed User Name and Password and then click connect.
Wait for the connect status window to indicate that your connection
is successful.
You may now run Netscape, Microsoft Internet Explorer and any other
winsock-compliant Internet software. To disconnect at any time, bring up
the Connection to All Speed window and click on the Disconnect button.
